New NY Crossroads was created to celebrate immigrants and to serve as an outlet for their stories. The success of our first book (a collection of poetry, personal stories, art work and music CD) has opened the door for our second publication: Global Immigrant Stories.

Vedat Akman receives awards
In Izmir at the JCI Turkey 2006 National Congress, I received an award for my contributions to JCI Turkey. I received my award from JCI Turkey 2006 President Mr. Batuhan Halim. (picture 1) Also, JCI Istanbul received an award and JCI Istanbul 2006 President, Oznur Kazanci, received the award for JCI Istanbul. (picture 2).
